Overbuilt is a game about designing spaceships and flying them. Ships are made of blocks and run on real physics, so how you build one decides how it flies and how it breaks.
It's free to play and works in portrait or landscape. You don't need a connection to build or fly.
There are 256 blocks: hull plates, thrusters, gyros, reactors, guns, cargo holds, drills, windows. Tap a face to add one. You can drag out a row, mirror across the hull and paint it.
The game shows your ship's mass, thrust and acceleration while you work, and a test flight is one tap away.
A ship moves on the thrusters you gave it. Without reverse thrust it can't back up. Gyros do the turning, and heavy ships turn slowly.
You fly with two thumb sticks, holding the phone either way.
When a ship hits something, its plating dents. Blocks that take too much damage break off. If part of the ship loses its connection to the rest, it comes off as a separate piece, and reactors can explode.
It's all physics, at full speed. There's no slow motion and nothing is pre-animated.
Commissions are jobs on a sector map: salvage, escort, races, combat, hauling, mining, towing and demolition. Each one needs a different ship.
In the Arena, your design is flown by the AI against other players' designs. Nothing you can buy gives you an advantage there.
